Villa and 100.3 The Beat are currently holding a block party jam at 1231 N. Broad St. in Philly. The free show runs until 5 p.m. The artists include Gyptian, Serani, Cali Swag District, John Blu and Gilbert Forte.

Songstress Lalah Hathaway may be working on a new album, but she took time out to perform at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center on June 5. “I’m trying to have something ready to go in August,” the Chi-Town native said about her album during a phone interview with vigoronline.com. Hathaway to give local concert


Neo-soul crooner Eric Roberson rocked the house last year in Harrisburg. Now his previous collaborator, Lalah Hathaway, will perform in Harrisburg on June 5th. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center. Hathaway is the daughter of the late soul legend Donny Hathaway. Tickets cost $50. Call 717.651.9280 for more info.

Jadakiss to visit ‘Burg

What do LeSean McCoy and DJ Drama have in common? Jadakiss. McCoy and Dream Catcher Entertainment will hold Community Day at 11 a.m. in Harrisburg on May 15th. The event will offer acitivites for all ages. McCoy will cap the night off with a performance by Jada at Eclispe Nightclub in Harrisburg. Rihanna in Hershey and NJ


Tickets for Rihanna’s local concerts go on sale today at 10 a.m. Ri Ri will perform at Susquehanna Bank Center (NJ) on Aug. 18 and Hersheypark Stadium (Hershey) on Aug. 21. Rihanna has put the Chris Brown debacle in the past and is currently dating LA Dodger’s outfielder Matt Kemp. Pop singer/songwriter Ke$ha will open up for Rihanna. Concert promoter Live Nation also booked femcee Nicki Minaj for the tour, but Minaj pulled out recently, according to her Twitter account. Click here to buy the tickets.

Blu launches Orange Line

Exodus Designs unveils its spring line on March 27.

To help kick off the spring season,  we’re highlighting some fresh fashion. Cyan Jeffries, a Harrisburg native and current Philadelphia resident, created Exodus Designs.  Jeffries, aka Blu, named her 2010 spring collection the Orange Line, which was inspired by the Broad St. subway system in Philly.
