For our next episode of Rob the Plug, we chop it up with Elyse Irvis, proprietor of La Cultura.

Irvis talks about how she, as well as her grandfather, K. Leroy Irvis, has given back to the local community. La Cultura, or “The Culture,” is a Harrisburg-based hub for black-owned businesses and African-American artists. Elyse Irvis also discusses receiving the midtown business of the year award, her Rosa Parks photo and more. Most recently, La Cultura hosted “Don’t Touch My Hair Part II,” an event about black hair.

With working on a new album, appearing at events and preparing for high school, Matt Ox stays busy.

He’s performing at Rolling Loud this weekend. And on May 9 at the University of Delaware, he opened up Playboi Carti. On April 13, the Warner Bros. signee did a meet and greet at the Art History 101 store in Philadelphia. Continue reading ‘Teen titan’
