For our next episode of Rob the Plug, we chop it up with Elyse Irvis, proprietor of La Cultura.
Irvis talks about how she, as well as her grandfather, K. Leroy Irvis, has given back to the local community. La Cultura, or “The Culture,” is a Harrisburg-based hub for black-owned businesses and African-American artists. Elyse Irvis also discusses receiving the midtown business of the year award, her Rosa Parks photo and more. Most recently, La Cultura hosted “Don’t Touch My Hair Part II,” an event about black hair.
