Dexter Kendrick, who formed the songwriting group Polarity with Lei Row, said he wants his music to be current yet timeless like a soul classic. I’d say he’s going to attain that goal.
On the relevant song “Hope,” his velvety vocals sound like the voice of Big Bub from the late 80’s/early 90’s group Today. And the song samples Roy Ayers’ 70’s hit “Mystic Voyage.” Kendrick, a free-spirited singer/songwriter, hails from Harrisburg.
