What a coincidence? I was just talkin’ about Jay Electronica, Curren$y, and Mos Def this weekend. Now these three rhyme spitters just collaborated for the song “The Day.”
We all know Mos is the charismatic rapper/actor. For those not familiar with newcomers Curren$y and Jay Elec, Curren$y is preparing to drop his debut album under the tutelage of hip-hop czar Dame Dash. Curren$y’s easygoing flow (accompanied by Ski Beat’s airtight production) landed him on the cover of XXL magazine’s issue for the hip-hop freshman of 2009.
Jay Elec’s unorthodox delivery and content has the blogosphere goin’ nuts. Jay Elec is also Erykah Badu’s most recent baby daddy. The video above is for Jay Elec’s “Exhibit A.”
