It’s been eight years since major hip-hop acts graced the stage at Hershey’s Giant Center. On August 19, 2003, 50 Cent headlined the Rock the Mic tour. Busta Rhymes, Bone Crusher, Fabolous and Obie Trice opened up for 50.
But the wait is over. Due to popular demand, hip-hop heavyweight Lil Wayne extended his 2011 North American tour. Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Far East Moment and Lloyd will accompany Weezy on his I am Still Music tour. The concert at the Giant Center begins at 7 p.m. on July 27.
Aside from covering the 50 Cent concert in Hershey, we reviewed the Lil Wayne concert in Scranton on July 27, 2009. Wayne will rock the stage again at Scranton’s Toyota Pavilion at 7 p.m. on July 19.
