Kiev Jarmauld and his crew eat, sleep and breathe music. And after years of honing of their skills, he and his two female collaborators are becoming household names in Central Pa.
On June 9, Jarmauld, Diamond Dallas and Addia opened up for R&B group Jagged Edge in York. Jarmauld, a singer/rapper/actor, said his musical influences include Jagged Edge, 112, Gladys Knight and Biggie. He also acted in some local projects and is working on productions with celebrities.
Dallas’ song “Top of the World” is a soundtrack for the lives of her, Jarmauld and Addia. On the song with an infectious hook, Dallas sings about perseverance while Jarmauld spits bars. Dallas delivers again on the contemporary slow joint “Sex in the Morning.” Singer Addia adds a neo-soul vibe to the trio’s sound. “When I Met You” borrows production from Foreign Exchange’s classic “I Wanna Know.” Addia and Jarmauld do the song justice with their velvety interpretation. Addia continues to keep the tempo slow on the Zhané-like ballad “When Will I See You Again.”
With bangers like these, the rising artists prove why they have become a triple threat.
