Cordell returns with his “It Was All a Dream” freestyle. “Got the idea from Biggie’s ‘Road to Riches,’” Cordell says. “Wanted to do something different.”
Aside from Biggie, Cordell’s freestyle took beats and lyrics from artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Future and Drake. Biggie wasn’t the first to borrow multiple beats and use them in a song. In 1990, Ice Cube did the same thing with “Jackin’ for Beats.”
