Harrisburg-based PM Bistro & Lounge has hosted some must-see events recently. And its Dec. 5 show was no exception. Singer Audrey Rose, who hails from New Jerz, performed songs from her mixtape titled Chapter One: Guns & Roses. She sang “Pretend,” a remake of Brandy’s “Brokenhearted,” and “Ice Cream,” a nod to Wu-Tang.
“Ice Cream” features Remy Ma and Fetty Wap. “Used to Be,” a collab with Jadakiss, has the potential to become a radio-friendly hit. The song offers a catchy beat and fuses Roses silky-soft voice with Jada’s charismatic and articulate style.
Opening act Bonnie Benji warmed up the stage. Like rapper Eve, Benji is a pit bull in a skirt, spittin’ ferocious bars. The Brooklyn-based femcee dropped her new single “Somebody” a day before her Harrisburg performance. “Somebody” features Fred the Godson, a XXL magazine Freshman.
