CCN commentator makes two stops in Hbg.

CNN has a new generation of political commentators. Two of them are spunky, intelligent, witty and unapologetic black women: Symone Sanders and Angela Rye. On Sept. 30, Sanders, 27, gave a lecture in Harrisburg.

The Harrisburg Chapter of The Links Inc. held the event at the National Civil War Museum. I didn’t attend the lecture, but a source says Sanders delivered an articulate speech. Prior to joining to CNN, Sanders worked as national press secretary for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Lounge and Lord
After her lecture, Symone Sanders went to Crawdaddys in Harrisburg to let her hair down. And with her short coif, that’s figuratively speaking. Sanders wore a chic black dress with feathered shoulders. She also did a meet and greet. Before she left, we talked about two topics.

It seems President Trump has been spending more time showing his disapproval for NFL protesters than the plight in Puerto Rico, an area devastated by Hurricane Maria.

“Puerto Ricans are Americans,” Sanders says. “The occupant of the White House doesn’t understand.”

Before being fired for his Nazi statement, Camp Hill resident Jeffrey Lord worked for CNN as a political commentator. When I asked Sanders about Lord, she says, “No comment.” This video shows when Sanders bumped heads with Lord about Trump.
