Queen Latifah returned to Central Pa. on Oct.14—but she didn’t perform this time. The renowned rapper-turned singer visited Milton Hershey School, which is celebrating its 100th year. Milton Hershey School’s spokesperson told The Patriot-News that Latifah was interested in the home/school’s legacy. The school serves underprivileged students. During Latifah’s visit in Hershey, she spoke with students and signed autographs.
On Oct. 29, 2007, the celebrity performed at The Forum in Harrisburg to promote her Trav’lin’ Light jazz CD. Aside from spittin’ bars and singing, she acts and models. American Idol winner Jordin Sparks will also be part of Milton Hershey School’s centennial. On Nov. 12, Sparks will hold a private concert for the school’s students at Hershey’s Giant Center.
