To honor Big Sean’s recent release of his song “Control,” we’re sharing our previous concert reviews of Sean and Kendrick Lamar. “Control,” didn’t make the cut on Sean’s upcoming album Hall of Fame because of sample clearing issues.
The song features Jay Electronica and Lamar. In the name of friendly competition, Lamar tells his collaborators and colleagues “I got love for you all, but I’m tryna murder you niggas.” As a result, the Compton-based rapper steals the spotlight on “Control.” In the immortal words of Paul Wall, Lamar “got the Internet going nuts.”
