With his witty wordplay, rapper Wati Heru reminds listeners that his hometown of Brooklyn breeds hip-hop wordsmiths. In the song “BKWYA,” the rapper has a soft-spoken delivery à la Earl Sweatshirt. Like Earl, Heru raps to a grimy beat. Director Tanner W. Jarman’s video is just as gutter.
