If you were able to check out the nightlife scene in Central Pennsylvania on Aug. 27, you witnessed some hip-hop legends.
DJ Clue spun at Apple Bar and Grill in Harrisburg, DJ Funkmaster Flex played at Village Nightclub in Lancaster, and Master Ace rocked the mic at Gullifty’s in Camp Hill.
Our website covered the Clue event. It was no surprise the veteran DJ had the venue turnt up. Some of the songs he played included O.T. Genasis’ “Push It” and French Montana and Kodak Black’s “Lockjaw.” The patrons became more electrified when Clue dropped Young M.A’s “Ooouuu.”
Clue, 41, co-founded Desert Storm Records in 1998. I first saw Clue about 10 years ago when I was on the set for MTV’s Direct Effect. He hosted the show with La La Anthony.
Promoter Showlove of TripleREnt, a staple of the local urban music community, continues to give back to the area. After the event, Showlove thanked two Susquehanna Twp. Police officers for their service and talked about police relations with the community.
