York native Phene made his mark in Central Pa. Now the rapper resides in the A-T-L and is collaborating with national recording artists, such as Laws, who inked a deal with Asylum/Warner Bros. Phil Nash, Esso and Cambatta also go in for a song named “Overdose.” Produced by Jaisu and S-Type, “Overdose” is the 16th track on Hip Hop Docktrine 3 (Boondocks mixtape). DJ Dub Floyd and DJ Wally Sparks present the mixtape, which is hosted by artists David Banner, Killer Mike and Asheru.
Neo-soul crooner Eric Roberson rocked the house last year in Harrisburg. Now his previous collaborator, Lalah Hathaway, will perform in Harrisburg on June 5th. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center. Hathaway is the daughter of the late soul legend Donny Hathaway. Tickets cost $50. Call 717.651.9280 for more info.
