On Nov. 29, Symone Sanders received an early birthday present. President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris named Sanders senior advisor and chief spokesperson for the Vice President.
Sanders celebrated her 31st birthday on Dec. 10.
On Sept. 30, 2017, Sanders, gave a lecture in Harrisburg. The Harrisburg Chapter of The Links Inc. held the event at the National Civil War Museum. I didn’t attend the lecture, but a source says Sanders delivered an articulate speech. Before receiving her promotion, Sanders served as senior advisor on the Biden-Harris campaign, was a commentator on CNN and worked as national press secretary for Bernie Sanders.
Lounge and Lord
After her lecture in 2017, Symone Sanders went to Crawdaddys in Harrisburg to let her hair down. And with her short coif, that’s figuratively speaking. Sanders wore a chic black dress with feathered shoulders. She also did a meet and greet. Before she left, we talked about two topics.
President Donald Trump was spending more time showing his disapproval for NFL protesters than the plight in Puerto Rico, an area devastated by Hurricane Maria.
“Puerto Ricans are Americans,” Sanders says. “The occupant of the White House doesn’t understand.”
Previously, Camp Hill resident Jeffrey Lord worked for CNN as a political commentator and served as associate political director for President Ronald Reagan. When I asked Sanders about Lord, she says, “No comment.” Sanders has bumped heads with Lord when discussing Trump.
